Hello all.

Thanks to ALES 204, I have my own blog today. I did not have a blog until I register this course: communication theory and practice.

My name is Chen.I came from china, and a city called Harbin. Harbin is one of the sister citys of Edmonton. Harbin has been the sister city of Edmonton since 1985.  If you go to Chinatown, there is a road called: "Harbin Road". Yeah.....!! That is the name of my hometown, that I am so proud of it!

I am a second year student in the Faculty of ALES. My major is Food business management. I was in the Faculty of Engineering in U OF A in 2010. To be honest, I did not feel comfortable to study in the Engineering Faculty. Finally I find that the Faculty of Ales would be more suitable for me to finish my degree. Food business is one of the largest businesses in the world. Today, more and more health concern has been come into people`s sight. R u 100% sure food u just had for your launch is healthy for you? Is it going to cause problems such as being dizzy, over weight and tired? To solve these problem and to make me healthier, I choose to learn my major- Food business management, which is about both food science and business operations behind food tradings.

During the study in the Faculty of ALES, I have to do many researches about food science. Also, many business courses require students to finish the group project. Social media tools have helped me a lot to do these researches and  projects. I can contact my partners anytime for free. All group members can share there solutions together with link or articles posted in their blog. one clever idea can be immediately  posted by twitter, and this particular idea can be shared by all members of the group in less than one second...... such examples are a lot more.Social media tools play an important role in the share of ideas and solutions, and make the study more convenient and efficient for social media tools users.
