Last post for ALES 204

This is the last blog post for my ALES 204 courses. These days I am a little bit sad because many courses are ended and it might be the case that it is the last time I see some classmates or professors in the University. All students might from the different faculties and they may have different schedules. I am sure that some classmates and professors will show up in the next term in my sight, but……..you know what I mean.

ALES 204 is the most exciting course I have ever had in U OF A. As many classmates said, they have learned a lot, I also feel that this course focus more on the building of the ability of communication for different individuals. It is not like other courses that professors teach you the theory or method in a specific academic field. Jessica and Angie`s lab (also labs from other TAs) are actually helping their students build the skills of communicating professionally and efficiently with others. Knowledge from other courses in the University might be used in the future when we are well positioned in our career, while ALES 204 let us share the knowledge which we can use it to improve our communicational abilities immediately. In this way, the knowledge we have learned in this course are more practical to be used than other courses.
There were many new and exciting experiences we have gone through in this semester. We have more chances in practicing our presentation skills; we got more chances in speaking in front of the publics (many classmates); we gain the opportunity in joining the group and communicate and share our ideas with others to achieve the same goal or task.
ALES 204 is actually a relatively new course in the university, and this course is getting better and better ( I learned that from students in higher grade). I hope that more students (who did not register this course) can register this course in the next semester, because this course is different, exciting, and making you feel more comfortable ( compared with some other difficult science course…) that every single individual in this class become best friends of each other due to the frequent communication with each other.
